Reon studies Political Economics at Waseda University in Tokyo and was raised in a multi-cultural family with a Dutch father and Japanese mother. He speaks Japanese, English, French, and Dutch. In 2017, he received an award from Stanford e-Japan, a university-level online course specializing in U.S.-Japan relations. He gained hands-on business management experience by completing an internship at the Carter Group and by winning the KJ Business Contest during his high school years. He hosted a Kendo class in the Netherlands for two years, which further broadened the spectrum of his activities. Potentialist, the future entrepreneur community, was created to aspire towards making a space where students with the interest and potential to innovate are given resources and opportunities to do so. Reon is currently the representative of Potentialist.

WHAT IS BLOCKCHAIN?: AN EASY INTRODUCTION FOR BEGINNERS

Tomoaki is completing his 2nd year at the Waseda University Department of Political Science and Economics. He was enthusiastically involved in baseball during his high school years and selected for the city team. He began questioning the existing monetary system while studying the American economy during his first year at university and encountered bitcoin and blockchain technology for the first time. He is currently setting up BITBEARS for the Waseda University Blockchain Research & Development Organization and conducting study sessions to disseminate information on blockchains and improve learning environments.

BITCOIN?: TOKEN ECONOMY, PRESENT AND FUTURE

Masaru is in his 2nd year at the Waseda University Department of Political Science and Economics. He enjoys both domestic and international travel. He traveled 800km from Kyoto to Nagasaki this spring. While visiting Australia, a leading country in cashless transaction, he experienced the inconvenience of cash currency exchange, which in turn led to an interest in vital currency. He currently takes part in the Waseda University Blockchain Research & Development Organization BITBEARS. He also works as an intern at the virtual currency media platform CoinOtaku.

Naoichiro Shimoda

Naoichiro is enrolled at Meiji University. He worked as an intern for a year and a half at Finatext under Prime Minister Koichiaki of the House of Representatives (Liberal Democratic Party). He served as Secretary General at the Futuristic System Creation Program in 2017. He is also a former Vice President of the Student Investment Committee USIC and member of the Financial Education Research Association. He started the CROWDAO project in March 2018 with support from Cloudworks Corporation.

Kazuma is in his 2nd year at the Keio University Department of Commerce. He develops applications as an iOS engineer. After participating in the launch of programming education project GeekSalon at his internship, he participated in venture investment at F Ventures of VC. He is currently the representative of PoliPoli Co., Ltd., which solves political issues with the latest technology such as blockchain and aims to form a political token economy.
