Founding CEO, Potentialist

Reon is Founder and CEO of Potentialist Global, Inc. Potentialist is a consulting firm specialized in Asia-Pacific market entry for US-funded startups. Its clients include unicorn companies invested by top-tier venture capital funds in the US.

As a Dutch-Japanese living in Tokyo, Reon speaks four languages (English, Japanese, French, and Dutch) and was an award-winning student of Stanford’s SPICE.

Reon's career of bringing foreign startups to Japan has begun in 2018 when he became a Head of Japan at UK-based startup "Arlixmeet".

He successfully brought the service to Japan with an exclusive partnership with Mastercard and left the company to found Potentialist.

After he launched a NY-based entertainment service in 2019, he went back to Japan and started helping early-stage American companies to expand into Japan, which is his main business.

He also hosts a podcast show on YouTube and Spotify called "Potentialist Show" which discusses strategies with top-tier entrepreneurs and VCs.
